Production and office facility
We have been selected as the general contractor for the production hall of GESS-CZ, which is involved in production and repairs for the water-management sector. For more information go to www.gess.cz.
This is a two-bay hall with dimensions of 37×48 metres, with an attached office unit of 6×15 metres. The hall has been designed as a reinforced-concrete assembled skeleton, while the office unit is built using traditional brick technology, with reinforced-concrete assembled floors and a wooden frame roof.
The basic load-bearing element includes bents at a distance of 6 metres from each other, formed by pillars and flat T trusses with a span of 18.5 metres. This forms the load-bearing structure for the roof and cladding, as well as the girders supporting crane rails, completed with fixing elements, which, together with the roof load-bearing structure formed by standard slabs, ensure their mutual action in this aspect. The pillars are clamped to pile pockets. There were 63 types of elements designed, and 299 reinforced-concrete elements manufactured, delivered and assembled.
There is a 7-metre wide skylight designed at the top of the roof, formed by reinforced-concrete collars. Along the hall structure perimeter, reinforced-concrete sandwich panels will be installed.
A hall height is 9.95 metres (up to the girders), or 10.87 metres (to the top). The total height of the structure is 12.56 metres at the highest point. The structure is designed so that it is possible to expand the hall if necessary.
